Trekking is one of popular outdoor activities enjoyed by visitors of all ages. While trekking you can soothe your mind and spirit in the fresh air and stunning scenery of Thailand ' s undiscovered wilds, and get a comprehensive aerobic workout at the same time. Hilltribe trek is the most popular ones in Northern Thailand as there are ten different tribes of hill people living. And trekking is one way to learn about their lifestyles and traditions.
Whitewater rafting in Mae Hong Son is perhaps the most famous one as it smashes its angry path towards Myanmar, and there are five levels of expertise and all required experienced guide to lead them. A raft trip starts at Ban Nam Kong, 65 kms. from Pai and continue through virgin forest, waterfalls and 15 sets of rapids, a journey time is about 5 hours.
This program is designed for those who are fond of outdoor activities in the Northern Thailand, especially trekking and whitewater rafting. We will start with trekking in the less visited area of Chiang Mai, and stay one night in Palong village. Then have an elephant trek out of the village, travel by a local truck to Tha Pae and enjoy bamboo rafting before going straight to Mae Hong Son, and enjoy 2 days whitewater rafting in Mae Hong Son. The program end with visiting Long-Neck Karen people and temple tour in the small but nice town of Mae Hong Son before taking the flight return to Chiang Mai, or other destinations.
